Mechanical Project Manager - Building Services\n North West (Office, Site & Hybrid Working)\n Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits\n Job Ref: 40042\n\nWe are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing Building Services Contractor delivering projects across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong pipeline of Residential and Commercial developments, overseeing projects from pre-construction through to handover.\n\nThe company specialises in delivering Mechanical and Plumbing installations across a wide range of sectors including high-spec Residential developments, apartment schemes, refurbishment projects, Education, Healthcare, and Commercial/Industrial buildings. Their work includes both new build and refurbishment projects, with a strong reputation for quality delivery and long-standing client relationships.\n\nYou will take responsibility for managing multiple Mechanical and Plumbing projects simultaneously, ensuring programmes, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations are all met throughout the lifecycle of the project.\n\nThe role will involve:\n\nManaging Mechanical and Plumbing packages across Residential and Commercial developments\nCoordinating labour, materials, subcontractors, and site activities\nLiaising closely with Developers, Main Contractors, Site Managers, and design teams\nReviewing drawings, specifications, and technical submissions\nMonitoring project costs, valuations, variations, and commercial performance\nCarrying out regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and health & safety\nEnsuring all installations comply with current building regulations and industry standards\nManaging technical queries and resolving on-site issues efficiently\nAttending progress meetings and maintaining strong client relationships\nSupporting procurement and tender activities for future projectsApplicants should ideally have:\n\nPrevious experience as a Mechanical or Plumbing Project or Contracts Manager\nStrong knowledge of Mechanical Building Services installations\nExperience managing subcontractors and coordinating with Electrical contractors on-site\nGood understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance standards\nStrong commercial awareness and project management capability\nExcellent communication and leadership skillsRelevant qualifications in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering are preferred, alongside SMSTS and CSCS certification.\n\nThe business offers a supportive and collaborative environment with genuine opportunities for long-term progression as the company continues to grow.\n\nIf you are looking for a role where you can take ownership of quality projects across the North West within a growing Building Services Contractor, please get in touch for further information.\n\nCalibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
