Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home\n\nLocation: Nottinghamshire\nSalary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Bonus Potential\nJob Type: Full-Time | Permanent\n\nWe’re recruiting for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to join a growing, values-led children’s care provider in Nottinghamshire.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation founded by an incredibly passionate leadership team whose focus is firmly centred on improving outcomes for children and young people rather than profit. The provider currently operates small therapeutic homes supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and trauma-related needs, with further expansion plans already underway.\n\nTheir homes are intentionally small occupancy settings, allowing for highly personalised care, stronger relationships, and genuinely therapeutic support for children and young people.\n\nThe Role\nAs Registered Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the leadership, development, and day-to-day management of the home, ensuring children receive outstanding levels of care within a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.\n\nYou’ll work closely with a highly supportive senior leadership team and play a key role in shaping the culture, standards, and long-term success of the service.\n\nResponsibilities include:\n\n * Leading the day-to-day operations of the children’s home\n\n * Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Home Regulations 2015\n\n * Creating a positive, child-centred, and therapeutic culture within the home\n\n * Leading, developing, and supporting the staff team\n\n * Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people\n\n * Managing care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies\n\n * Building strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals\n\n * Driving positive outcomes for children across education, wellbeing, and independence\n\n * Preparing for and leading Ofsted inspections with the aim of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ outcomes\n\n * Supporting recruitment, staff development, and team retention\n\nAbout You\n\n * Previous experience within children’s residential care at management or deputy level\n\n * Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices\n\n * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)\n\n * Passionate about therapeutic and trauma-informed care\n\n * Strong leadership and communication skills\n\n * Child-focused, resilient, and values-driven approach\n\n * Full UK Driving Licence preferred\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * Competitive salary package\n\n * Supportive and highly experienced leadership team\n\n * Opportunity to shape and influence a growing provider\n\n * Small occupancy homes focused on quality care and outcomes\n\n * Ongoing training and professional development\n\n * Clear progression opportunities as the organisation expands\n\n * Therapeutic, relationship-led care environment\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a manager who wants to be part of a provider genuinely committed to making a long-term difference in children’s lives whilst building high-quality, stable, and nurturing services.\n\nAt RJS, we partner with values-driven children’s care providers across the UK and work on a continuous stream of exciting opportunities within the sector.
