SEN Teacher (SEMH)

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our supportive team in Gloucester, working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
• Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support both academic and emotional development
• Work closely with support staff, therapists, and families
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs

Our school supports children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a structured, therapeutic environment where pupils feel safe, understood, and valued. We place a strong emphasis on relationship-building, emotional development, and personalised learning, helping young people re-engage with education and reach their full potential.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Has experience working with SEN and/or SEMH pupils (preferred but not essential)
• Is resilient, compassionate, and patient
• Has strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
• Is passionate about making a meaningful difference in children’s lives
• Can deliver across a broad curriculum (primary or secondary depending on role)
